EAC Patreon Launch!

Help Empire Arts Collective by supporting us on May 2nd when we launch our Patreon Campaign!

Patreon is a membership platform that helps creatives reach their financial goals with monthly contributions. Our Patreon will help us create more opportunities for artists to grow, such as more free workshops, productions, scholarships, and even a performing arts venue where folks can create together.

This campaign allows our supporters to donate on a monthly level - whether it’s one dollar or one hundred dollars per month - to help us realize our goals. The more patrons we gain, the more we can give to the arts community. And there are different perks at each donation tier as a thank you.

Stupid Cupid: Anti-Valentine's Day Story Slam

Instead of an Open Mic this month, we're hosting our second Story Slam. This month's topic is: Stupid Cupid

Whether you adore Valentine’s Day or despise it, everyone has a V. Day disaster to lament about. Whether it’s a tragic tale of unrequited love, an elaborately planned romantic evening gone awry, or the time your crush threw your Harry Potter Valentine in the trash in 4th grade, February 14th is a rough day to navigate. Come gather ‘round the microphone and share your Valentine woes. Singles, couples, and everyone welcome!

WHEN: Thursday, February 14th at 7 PM. Signups start at 6:30
WHERE: Oblivion Comics and Coffee - 1020 11th St, Sacramento
ADMISSION: Donations suggested and welcomed! Please come out and support Oblivion Comics and Coffee by buying their tasty drinks and snacks.

This is a community story-telling event similar to The Moth where we share our stories and a favorite will be selected by the audience. Sign ups begin 30 minutes before show time. Stories should be between 5 and 8 minutes long. Names will be drawn out of a hat to determine which storytellers will fill 10 open slots for the evening.
